It is almost 2 in the morning...

and I'm not going to bed anytime soon.

I got the bright idea to make cheesecake for the first time ever this Thanksgiving...only I didn't start until 11 at night.  I had to go hot tubbing.  It was a serious priority!!  Only cheesecakes take a looong time.  Did you know they bake for over in hour?  And then you cool them in the oven for thirty minutes?  And that you take them out of the oven and wait for thirty minutes before you can place them in the fridge to chill???  All I'm hoping is that this Pumpkin Cheesecake is a success after the loss of sleep.

Fun fact, this is the second night in a row that I have stayed up past 1 AM.  Last night I drove out to 210/I-15 junction to meet my sister and Dan's brother on their way down from Utah.

Even though I'm suffering sleep deprivation, and I just KNOW that my baby is going to wake up at 6AM tomorrow (this??) morning, it's all worth it.  Thanksgiving Day hasn't even happened yet, and it's all already been worth it.  I love these people I am with right now, I love hot tubbing with them, talking with them, doing attempting Bollywood dances with them, baking with them, laughing with them, staying up later than I have in years with them, and just living in the moment.  Dan thinks I fly through my life by the seat of my pants.  He's right, I do, but he says that like it's a bad thing.

I probably will be tired tomorrow morning, but it's a small price to pay to enjoy time Hope, Carrie, Dave, Steph, Zach, Kim, Melanie, Mason, Dan, and London.  (Normally houses stuffed full of people sound uncomfortable, but at the holidays it just seems perfect.)

While I'm up and blogging at unholy hours, here is London's alphabet wall!  Thanks to my madre for helping make this dream a reality!  She helped me pick out and even paint some of the letters (and she financed the whole project! What a gal!!)

As you can see, London loves it!

(I wrote this last night but forgot to post it!)

You take after your mother...she flies by the seat of her pants a lot, too. I, of course, am too organized! Sometimes you need to fly by the seat of your pants. I should learn how to do that...

Oh also I use the phrase "flying by the seat of my pants" and Dan thinks I'm weird. My mom says it all the time. I'm glad to know it's not just my family who says that! haha
