30 Days of Blogging: Day 5

By far the best vacation I have been on was when my family went to Europe in 2006.  My grandparents were serving a public affairs mission in England, and we went to visit them towards then end of their mission.  We explored England, Scotland, Wales, France, and Belgium.  The countryside was beautiful, the cities were inspirational, and full of more history than any where I've ever been.  It was like a dream for two weeks of my life.  I can't wait to go back someday.
Bath.  View of the cathedral from the ruins of the Roman baths.

Ignore how frumpy I look.  BECAUSE I'M ON A STREET IN BELGIUM!!

William Wallace Memorial.  Yes I climbed to the top of that tower.  You want to talk about being afraid of heights?

Brighton.  Palace gardens.  This reminds me of Narnia for some reason.

I want to say this York.

Dover.  As in the white cliffs of.

Changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.

This is like one of the oldest buildings in Britain.  Dover.

Edinburgh, Scotland.

Gloucester?

Either Gloucester or Lacock.  This was used as Snape's classroom in HP.

Another HP film scene.

I think you know what this is.

Me standing awkwardly in the pump room (Bath).  Just like a Jane Austen character!

This really narrow road is called The Shambles.  It was in York, I think.

York

York.

P.S. Sorry if some of these pictures are fuzzy, I took them on a disposable camera.  I didn't have my own camera at this point in my life...

I love this!

The missionary that taught my Dad was from Gloucester. We ended up going to visit her and going our way through England. I remember seeing all of these places except obviously Belgium and France, but York.

I want to go back!!!
