I have spring fever. Which is ok, since Spring break/vacation is right around the corner (Monday can't come soon enough). In ode to my chomping at the bit for a little freedom, here is a little fun fact.
Without fail, every spring I hear a fantastic, catchy song that will inevitably become my theme song for the summer. That may just be because it gets stuck in my head and I can't get out for a few months, but I also feel like most of the songs that have become my summer manifestos reflect a sense of carefree-ness, brightness, and hope. Which are emotions I tend to have during the summer; the possibilities seem endless this time of year. So, without further ado, here's the jam of 2011.
Pumped Up Kicks--Foster the People.
P.S. The lyrics are...a little weird/morbid. It's more the tune and the beat that feel like summer.
