Hangin' with my bros.

I'm sitting in the Phoenix Airport right now, waiting for my connecting flight home.  London has been AWESOME.  So hopefully she decides to continue in her awesomeness until we get back to Pasadena.  I figured I would kill some time while she takes a nap and post some more North Carolina Adventures.  These are from the Museum of Natural Science in Raleigh.  I come from a family of nerds, what can I say?

One thing I really liked about this museum is that lots of the exhibits had real animals along with the models...my five year old brother enjoyed that aspect as well.

Checkin' out a blowfish.  We tried to scare him into puffing out...didn't work.
Some giant cockroaches.

For some reason, almost every where we went this trip, the animals were demonstrating the circle of life for us.  At the zoo, my mother took a picture of a rather...excited male baboon.  (She didn't realize until later that the baboon was um, well, in such a state.  And she wouldn't let me post that picture.  It has forever been dubbed the Baboon Porn Portrait.)  Anyways, it must have been mating season for all the creepy crawlies at the museum because we saw these guys enjoying one another's company:

Awkward.
There were a few more species havin' a grand old time, but I decided to stop being weird and taking pictures.

This guy was ready for his close up.
On a less disgusting note, we also stopped and got some lunch that was by the butterfly exhibit.
Here I am trying Cheerwine for the first time.  It's the North Carolina version of Dr. Pepper.  Except it's more like Cherry Dr. Pepper, I think.  Also it's delicious and comes in cool glass bottles.
After lunch, we went on a journey through time and found....
DINOSAURS!

This isn't a dinosaur, but it is a giant pre-historic sloth.

Dino canckles!
I miss my family already.  It's always hard to say goodbye to them when they live so far away, but I am so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so ,so, so, so, so, so, so, so, SOOOOOO excited to see my husband.  A week is long time.

I love your sandals! Once we went to the Redwood Forest and there were TONS of millipedes in the exact same way as in your picture. It was a forest of awkwardness and I had to shield my eyes every way I turned. Also that baboon story is funny.
