Not to sound cliche, but:

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!!! I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!
(Please imagine me holding my hand out and flashing my ring in front of you.) Actually, you don't have to, I'll show you a poor quality picture.

And here is one from the side:

Also, here is the story:
Sooo, there we were, going out to dinner for my birthday (we had to go a few days early, but we don't need to get into the nitty gritty details...) We went to Macaroni Grill and on the way home I asked Dan if I got my present right then or if I had to wait until my real birthday. And lucky day, he said I could get it right then! BUUUUT he said he kind of wanted to go to the park first. Soo we did and I go and sit on a swing and Dan hands me my present, which turns out to be a box of See's Candy. I opened it up, and there was the ring, and then Dan got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I told him I needed to have some to mull it over, and that I'd contemplate over that box of candy.

Ok, just kidding, I said yes and then I gave him a big old smackaroo right on the lips. =]

Anyways, I'm the happiest I've ever been in my whole entire life, and that's no joke.
Peace out.

Pretty ring for a pretty girl. And such a perfect way to get engaged for a Chambers family member - since Grammie is the See's Candies queen - having a ring inside a box of See's candy is absolutely perfect. Well done, Dan. You are the greatest and we are all so happy you will be a part of our family and Lauren will be part of your wonderful family. Love from Grammie

I love how when you told me this story you said he gave you a box of your favorite candy, like I wouldn't know what See's is. Child, you know I've spent a good chunk of my life in California! =P

Anyways, reading your blog makes me miss you like crazy.
