My boo boo/ Book Club Adventures

On Monday I was the good wife and made Mr. Snow a delicious egg mcmuffin for breakfast before his finals.  Unfortunately, I then got into a fight with our little egg poacher pan and burned myself on my pointer finger.  It wasn't so fun at the time, but now I have a cool triangular shaped blister!  I'm sure you don't want to see it, but too bad.

In other news, I hosted book club last night.  It was a lot of fun, and I'm really enjoying this chance to talk about literature while making new friends.  It's almost like college again!  I got to pick the book for this next month; we're reading The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox.  Hopefully everyone likes it.  Since I am my mother's daughter, I like to turn little things into events and sometimes bite off more than I can chew, so I had this lovely spread prepared for the South Pasadena Book Club.
This is a horrid picture, but I was in a hurry to take it before everyone started to arrive, so we're all just going to have to deal with it.  You can't really tell, but the cupcakes are little bunnies.  Dan started to tease me when he saw them, because the last time I made them was the infamous Priesthood Session of Conference of April 2010.  Basically, I invited all my friends over to watch a girly movie while the boys were at General Conference, was so excited, made all these yummy treats (including the Easter Bunny cupcakes), and then at last minute, nobody could come.  Sad life.  It's ok though, Danny took me out on a date when he got home to cheer me up.  Anyways, the point is, when Dan saw me decorating the cupcakes, he was like, "You're making those cupcakes??"  Inferring no one was going to come again and I'd end up a pathetic heap crying on the couch thinking my life is over and I have no friends.  Fortunately, that didn't happen, and we had a great time.  Unfortunately, I now have twenty million cupcakes sitting around my house, because I made too many.  Better to have too much than not enough?  Maybe I'll take them to my in-laws this weekend or something.  They appreciate a good cupcake!
